This next installment in the iconic video game franchise will arrive just in time for Mega Man's 30th anniversary. More information on the game is expected next summer. Check out the trailer in the tweet below. Until then, feel free to gawk at the game's debut trailer.
Mega Man X was the first Mega Man game for the SNES, and introduced a new protagonist, Zero, and villain, Sigma, and even included a move from Street Fighter II. The game features a new design and 2.5D visuals. The upcoming title will drop across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch come 2018. Are you planning on buying it? Graphics are the least of the problem, especially since it seems like they really did capture the heart of the older versions with the art style and design of each level and the bright colors of the enemies. The X series came with features such as powerful armor upgrades and wall-jumping. "Mega Man 11" was announced by the end of the live stream and was likely a big surprise for fans since the last game in the series, "Mega Man 10", was released back in 2010. The developers are simply ditching the 8-bit aesthetic and adapting to a more modern, yet familiar "hand-drawn" background environments and 3D model characters. In turn, Capcom has tried to honor Mega Man in many different ways. Mega Man 11 indeed. These collections of retro classics will be out in Spring of 2018.
