One of the Mathews' neighbors who wished not to be named, said Wesley and his wife, were struggling to conceive.

The Amber alert for the case was discontinued because of lack of leads.

The little girl has not been located.

The girl's mother was home when Wesley Mathews told the girl to go stand outside, but was unaware of what he was doing, he said. The tree is across an alley from the home. Mathews also told detectives that he knew coyotes were seen in the area where he left his daughter. Plus, they lived near railroad tracks. In spite of the darkness, her father said he was disciplining his child over the milk she refused to drink. Police even went house-to-house, knocking on doors and asking questions with the hope of finding the child.

New details have emerged regarding a missing toddler out of Richardson, Texas.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, call Richardson police at 972-744-4801 or dial 911 immediately.

Three vehicles at the family's house were towed away Saturday evening.

Mathews was arrested later that night for abandoning or endangering a child, police said. The Chronicle Herald reports that he was released on a $250,000 bond Sunday night.

Sherin Mathews, the girl, is still missing after her disappearance was reported at 8 a.m. on Saturday. "The 3-year-old is Asian, 36" tall, weighs 22 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. She suffered from malnourishment before arriving in the United States and is on a special diet, said Sergeant Kevin Perlich, a spokesman for the Richardson Police Department. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a pink long-sleeve shirt and pink flip-flops. "Our children wouldn't be outside at 3 a.m. regardless of what was going on".
