Arsenal hero: Lacazette not in same class as Chelsea striker Morata

Chelsea and Arsenal played out a disappointing 0-0 draw as David Luiz was sent off in the closing stages.

Chelsea started brightly but have slowly and steadily faded and grown sloppy, while Arsenal have looked increasingly threatening, usually through he pace of Bellerin and the opportunistic efforts at goal from Xhaka and Welbeck.

Chelsea had earlier missed a one-on-one opportunity from Pedro, who was foiled by Petr Cech.

The two players were involved in plenty of summer transfer speculation.

The second half lacked the excitement of the first and the introductions of Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez from the two substitutes' benches did not provide the desired spark.

Pedro had Chelsea's best chance and really should have also scored, timing his run perfectly off the back of the Arsenal defense to go 1-v-1 with Čech. The point means they remain three adrift of their rivals and six off Manchester City at the top, having gone 14 matches without beating a top-six team away from home in the top flight.

The half-time whistle has come at a great time, to be sure. The match starts at 13:30 on 17 September 2017.

But, in the meantime, where are updates on the likes of Alvaro Morata, Cesar Azpilicueta and Cesc Fabregas.

The Gunners then suffered a blow when Welbeck was lost to injury, Olivier Giroud coming on, but the substitutes could not liven up proceedings.

The visitors thought they had taken the lead with 15 minutes remaining when Shkodran Mustafi found the net, but the defender was well offside before heading in Granit Xhaka's free-kick.

As he spoke to the reporter, Chelsea duo Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso appeared in the tunnel behind him.
