Bellinger hits for cycle against Marlins

By getting to the All-Star game with the best record in baseball at 61-29 and 7.5 game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks the Dodgers are almost guaranteed their fifth straight division title. Bellinger picked up a double the following inning, and then completed the cycle with a triple in the seventh.

It's really all 25 guys in here that are coming to compete every single day and bringing their best out on the field. He's joined the ranks of Jackie Robinson, Gil Hodges, Wes Parker and Orlando Hudson. The Astros are now 11 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox (51-41) for the best record in the AL, predicting that the team might not have a lot left to play for in the second half of the regular season. Los Angeles (63-29) climbed 34 games above.500 for the first time this year and has won 28 of their past 32 games. If the Dodgers defeat the Marlin's today they will extend their win streak to eight.

The Dodgers posted a come from behind 6-4 win in the first game and then had a 7-1 one sided victory over the Marlins on Saturday night in the middle game.

Hill has logged exactly seven innings in each of last three turns - going 1-1 with a 1.71 ERA - after failing to last more than five frames in any of his first nine outings. Yasmani Grandal also added three RBIs by way of a three run home run after Bellinger went yard earlier in the inning.

Bellinger has had a standout career this season and is looking well placed to be the next Dodger bestowed with that award.

"As I was running back, I said, 'This is an opportunity to make a good play, '" Ozuna said.

Los Angeles won six of seven games from the Marlins this year.

Working out near his home outside of Atlanta, Green recently caught up with Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford - his college battery mate - and Panthers tight end Greg Olsen. "To see my name on some of that is pretty humbling".

"He got like a little baby", Urena said. He allowed five hits, two walks and three runs in five innings. "It's clear to me there was no intent (by Urena)".

"It has been fun", Hill said. "But I think the right thing at this moment is to stay the course". The Cubs have been favorites in all but 14 games, but have not been kind to bettors. Consequently, he became the 11th Marlins starter to win his Major League debut.

The defending-champion Chicago Cubs started the season as the consensus favorites, but, after a disappointing start, were overtaken in May by the Dodgers, Astros, Nationals and Indians.
